In my paper, i talked about how teenage behave and communicate with their peers, parents and other people. Beside, I did interview with teenage which helped me a lot to add some information to my paper. Furthermore, I talked about how teenage at public school communicate differently with their peers than teenage at private school where most of them speak or communicate politely with one another. Morever, I talked about how teenage talk to their friends over the phone, and how they communicate to people not their age in the phone or personally.

in my paper I'm going to talk about teenage how they speak among others, and how they respect others while they speak, in addition to that I will mentioned the way show if they respect others while speaking for example, the way they dress may effect the way they speak. also I would mentioned the way they speak on the phone whether is respectful or disrespect. beside that, I would add some information about how female teenage differ when they speak than male teenage, and also how teenage in differ schools show respect to others.
I think this paper will turn to be little bit hard or difficult because it is going to discuss one question of the following question that I listed earlier in the paper, so , it is difficult to find information about it , however i will try my best to come up with eight pages for the final paper.

I decided to work on the topic of American teenage, because i found it interesting for speech community than other topic that i chose earlier, however, it has more information to search than the other one and it state the condition of how teenage are today. in my paper i would specifically talking about american teenage, also i would slightly include the questions that i came up with, because all these questions are really related to american teenage, whether how they speak with others, or how communicate in school and etc......, but the most question i really found interesting to talk about more than the other questions is how teenage male differ than teenage female, and this will makes difference because we see female more mature than male so, it will speak more appropriately than male. however, you choose for me the most interesting one is " teenage respect others while they speak".

In my final paper, I like to come up with four topics and I will choose the favorite one, that I'm going to have list of question about it. the first topic would be about "teenage", the second topic would be on " educated people", and the third one would be on "foreing women", and the fourth one would be on "high class vs. middle class people.
1. teenage ( American) , how teenage speak among others, or how teenage male and female speak to others
2. educated people (doctor vs. engineer) how doctor speak differently, or have their own language than do engineer
3. foreing women ( example, arabic women vs. american women)
4. high class vs. middle middle, or low class( how each speak differently)

My paper gain me lot of information about how names are very important, although it though me how to organized the sentences and the words correctly. beside that when I read my paper through couple times it really helped me to find lot of mistake that i couldnt figure out before. I got more ideas especially when I did the three techniques.

My paper tought me lot of things about the slang language, especially how I can differentiate between the slang or informal and formal language. in my paper I mentioned the word "dog", and whenever I hear the word dog I think right away of animal, but in the reality, people came up with lot of meaning to this word.
Some people use this word as a bad one, others use as a good one, for example, people say " hey you dog" this means in slang language "hey you friend", college student and people who thinks themselves are cool tend to use this sentence. furthermore, people also say "you dogged me" this means you sheat on me or you are a liar.
So, from that, we see that "dog" has the good and bad expression, but I think dog has something to do with personality , and we can describe the word dog as loyal and freind, which is a good expression but people hate when somebody call them a dog, they will think they insulted.
furthermore, the thing that Ireally found it interesting in my essay that I showed that slang is not a bad word but it can be good , however, slang mostly tend to be in the bad way especially when I stated that slang originates from different areas as sex, movies, drug and gay scenes. I think slang language can be good language if use it in a proper way.
what i really liked about my essay was the style and the formal that i started with and also the way i defined slang that is not only a bad word as people think, however, is good meaning.

my full name is jihan mounir kdouh. My uncle named me jihan, he really likes that name because it belong to the wife of anwar sadat, (who used to be a president of egypt). my name has different meaning , my uncle told me that my name is belong to rich people, especially princess and queen. beside that, the real meaning of my name is "heaven", it an iranian name, with translation of heaven. even though in arabic, my name is sound like heaven and gardens. it is a name that express where flowers and good think gather at one place.
my name originated from different areas in the world, for example, beside it is originated from iran, it originated from egypt, india, and china. and i heard recently that jihan in china is a boy name, so i think my name can be used for both male and female, in otherword we can say that is ungender in china.
my name can be considered as an arabic name, jihan can be named by muslim or christian people, also my name mostly related or belongs to high class family. so, name can chosen according to nationality and tradition.

Anthrax Vaccine Moves Into Clinical Trials

The next-generation anthrax vaccine, based on a decade of work at the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases, is now moving into not one, but four clinical trials. Higher education or a larger brain may protect against dementia, according to new findings by researchers from the University of South Florida and the University of Kentucky. The study, published in the June issue of the Journal of Clinical and Experimental Neuropsychology, provides important new evidence that either more years of formal education or better early brain development may help delay dementia in later life. The findings were drawn from the Nun Study, a longitudinal study of aging and Alzheimer's disease.

Perceptions about bioterrorism could impair the nation's response

A new study has found that while a majority of health care professionals surveyed believe the United States is at a high or somewhat high risk of bioterrorism, the same professionals believe that their individual communities are at low risk of an attack. "It appears to be an it-can't-happen-to-me response," said Brooke Shadel, Ph.D., M.P.H., assistant professor of public health and associate director of the Center for the Study of Bioterrorism and Emerging Infections at Saint Louis University School of Public Health. "But here's the problem. If you perceive the risk is low in your community then you may not value training information and you may be less likely to seek out information or maintain current references. This low perception of risk may leave the professionals who are supposed to be on the frontlines of such an event unprepared, and that's our concern."

Researchers Use Lab Cultures to Create Robotic 'Semi-Living Artist'

Working from their university labs in two different corners of the world, U.S. and Australian researchers have created what they call a new class of creative beings, "the semi-living artist" â€“ a picture-drawing robot in Perth, Australia whose movements are controlled by the brain signals of cultured rat cells in Atlanta. Gripping three colored markers positioned above a white canvas, the robotic drawing arm operates based on the neural activity of a few thousand rat neurons placed in a special petri dish that keeps the cells alive. The dish, a Multi-Electrode Array (MEA), is instrumented with 60 two-way electrodes for communication between the neurons and external electronics. The neural signals are recorded and sent to a computer that translates neural activity into robotic movement.

New test opens prenatal genetic diagnosis to all

A non-invasive test which allows faster, cheaper, and less risky prenatal genetic screening was announced by Australian researchers at the International Genetics Congress in Melbourne today. The new test can also be performed much earlier in pregnancy, say its developers Dr Ian Findlay and Mr Darryl Irwin of the Australian Genome Research Facility in Brisbane. It should open the opportunity of prenatal genetic testing to a wider group of women. "This test will focus conventional prenatal testing much more effectively," said Dr Findlay.

Nanotech strategy could create new organs

Scientists from Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have developed a strategy that could one day be used to create functional human organs such as kidneys and livers. The technique involves creating a network of microscopic tubes that branch out in a pattern, similar to that seen in the circulatory system, to provide oxygen and nutrients to liver or kidney cells that have been cultured in a lab. Using new fractal computational models, the network is designed and etched onto silicon surfaces which are then used as molds to transfer the pattern to biocompatible polymer films. Two films are then sealed together with a microporous membrane sandwiched between them.

Blacks more likely to be shot than whites even when holding harmless objects

Given only a fraction of a second to respond to images of men popping out from behind a garbage dumpster, people were more likely to shoot blacks than whites, even when the men were holding a harmless object such as a flashlight rather than a gun. The finding comes from a study that is to be published this week in the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology. The research used a virtual reality simulation and was prompted by a number of mistaken shootings of unarmed blacks by police officers in recent years. It was directed by Anthony Greenwald, a University of Washington psychologist who examines the unconscious roots and levels of prejudice.

Revolutionary tungsten photonic crystal could provide more power for electrical

You can't get something for nothing, physicists say, but sometimes a radical innovation can come close. Researchers at Sandia National Laboratories -- exceeding the predictions of a 100-year-old law of physics -- have shown that filaments fabricated of tungsten lattices emit remarkably more energy than solid tungsten filaments in certain bands of near-infrared wavelengths when heated. This greater useful output offers the possibility of a superior energy source to supercharge hybrid electric cars, electric equipment on boats, and industrial waste-heat-driven electrical generators. The lattices' energy emissions put more energy into wavelengths used by photovoltaic cells that change light into electricity to run engines.

Abnormal plant shows scientists path to plant, animal development

A pickle-shaped root is revealing how plants develop from embryos to adults and also may hold answers about cancer cell growth. Purdue University researchers have uncovered nine specific genes that are shut off before plants make the developmental transition from the embryonic stage to adulthood. Results of the latest study are published in the July issue of The Plant Journal.

I choose this blog, because I really found it interesting to talk about, and discuss the topic that listed above. this blog offers many experimental and research about science. think science is easy for me to understand and discuss, because most my classes i took is science and this help me to figure out this blog and also help me to choose.

There are three topics that I did find it good to talk about is anthrax vaccine where it moves into clinical trials, this vaccine work at the U.S army medical research of infectious disease, it was proven that this vaccine moves into four clinical trials. researchers did the work on vaccine by singling a protein in bacillus anthracis- this bacterium helps to produce immunity to the disease.

other topic that i also found it good to talk about is Dot, dot, dot , how quantum dots line up. this briefly discussed how arrays of atoms or quantum dots, assemble themselves on semiconductor materials. dots it is a method that is used in order to measure the and predict the growth of earthquake.

the third topic i found also interesting that is stated that high level of education lead to protect brain against the dementia, and this due according to the study of journal of clinicial and experimental neuropsychology. and this provide important things about brain development.
